For our December installment of the Artist & Maker series, we are excited to welcome Anndra Neen, cult jewelry collection designed by Phoebe and Annette Stephens. You might recognize their unique designs from our recent collaboration with the sisters. Beginning today through December 31st, select pieces from Anndra Neen’s statement jewelry collection are available for purchase at our Flagship store on Fillmore Street.
Anndra Neen’s one-of-kind designs are handcrafted in Mexico City, the sisters’ childhood home. They hail from a family of artists, the most influential family member, their grandmother, Annette Nancarrow, a sculptor and jewelry designer whose pieces were collected by Frida Kahlo. Despite their artistic lineage, it wasn’t until 2009, during a trip to Japan, that they began dreaming up their first collection. The result is a line of strong, architectural jewelry that has caught the attention of fashion icons including Michelle Obama, Solange Knowles, and Carine Roitfeld. Annette and Phoebe see each piece as a “modern heirloom” that tells a story about those that designed it, those that made it, and the one who wears it.
